Los Angeles. Theme park heaven.

Hollywood.....Land of dreams.

Not what it seems.
Hollywood has the stars, the lights and the cameras and can make anything look better than it actually is. Even this beautiful photo of Anne and I sitting in front of the hollywood sign is not what it seems. This "Happy snap" was taken at Universal studios just as we emerged from the backlot tour. The scene is painted onto a wall and the only thing real, besides us, in the entire photo is the guard rail that we are sitting on! The real hill was very brown and void of any vegetation when we visited and the Hollywood sign, well lets just say it need a good paint job.
Don't take the Mickey out of Walt!

Disneyland

I guess every childs dream is to one day come to Disneyland. Well Anne and I came to Disneyland armed with a 7 day pass and we came every day. Either in the morning or in the afternoon and on one occasion we were there from 9.30 am until closing at midnight. A great experience!
Gone but not forgotten.

Canada 3000. Gone but not forgotten.

"Canada 3000 Airlines regrets to advise that it will cease flying operations effective November 09, 2001," was the terse comment posted on the company's Web site.

Well they might be gone but they are not forgotten. We flew from Edmonton to Los Angeles return with 10 days accommodation, transfers, 7 day Disney pass, one day Ubiversal studio pass, a one day Hollywood sightseeing ansd stars home tour with all breakfasts thrown in for CA$699.00. It is probably no wonder they went broke! At least we had a great time!

Nice site and good to read that you had a great time in Universal Studios. A place we didn't visit on our stay in LA. Maybe next time, at least you got us wondering :-)
