My wife and I | Catching some sun in New Zealand. Oct 2003. |
I love three things in life. Anne my wife of 17 years, traveling the world and to travel the world with my wife.
When I met Anne (my wife to be) in Feb 1989 I was a "travelerholic" and Anne had not traveled at all. The only option, I thought, was to introduce Anne to my world and obsession. Since then we have traveled to....

| | Don't die wondering. Get out there and do it! Live your own life, run your own race, find your own answers and enjoy everything you do.
Have you ever noticed that "the extra mile" has the least amount of traffic on it?
I try and realise every dream that I have ever had and I believe that when you die that you should have no regrets.
Most of all I don't want to die wondering so I take my wife on adventures around the world believing that forgiveness is easier to get than permission!
You will eventually spend a long time under the ground, so you may as well enjoy life while you are above it because there are no prizes for the richest person in the cemetery. |
| Wilhelmina. @ 2 years. 2007 |
| | Our first grandchild is now 2. Anne and I are proud grandparents! in April 2005 our son (Daniel) and our daughter-in-law (Alice) brought Wilhelmna into the world.
Wilhelmina has recently celebrated her 2nd birthday and she celebrated in style. Wilhelminas first plane ride that took her from Sydney to Maroochydore to visit here grandparents. How did she cope with this big event? She slept all the way!
Alice is now expecting her second child and I guess this means a lot more flights from Maroochydore to Sydney to visit the latest addition to the family......which should not be any problem for a couple of "TRAVELERHOLICS" like us! |
| One of those "life experiences" Oct 2005 |
| | Our African adventure. October 2005 .
There are certain things in life that you just should not do....and this is one of them! Having said that, this is one of those "life experiences" that Anne and I will look back on for the rest of our days with great pleasure.
My life long motto "Don't die wondering" came to the fore and I guess I now know what it is like to hold a lion and how they feel......I'm not telling, you will have to go and experience this for yourself at Antelope Park, Zimbabwe.

| THE MAGNIFICENT BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO. 2005 |
| | After a hectic two weeks it was time to head to the east coast of Africa and Mozambique. If you plan to visit one destination in Mozambique this string of islands should be it. The main ones are Santa Carolina, Bazaruto, Benguerra and Magaruque. They offer a quintessential tropical holiday with isolated palm and casuarinas tree shaded beaches, rich tropical reefs and clear warm water .

| | Kruger National Park was a fitting end to a magnificent African adventure.
The harsh reality of Africa where the law of nature, which guarantees the survival of the fittest, rules supreme....after he washes up!
Here, where life is revealed at its most fundamental, there is a chance to observe the natural order of things, where both the quick and the dead help to restore sustenance to the earth - the process which has supported life through the millenia.

| Kangaroo, Uniquely Australian. |
| | Australias Unique animals. Kangaroos are Australia's best-known animals. Kangaroos, and their close relatives, vary greatly in size, ranging in weight from 500 grams to 90 kilograms. There are at least 69 different species of kangaroo. The Red Kangaroo, is the largest living marsupial. Males can be as tall as two metres and weigh up to 90 kilograms. The animal can live in most of dry inland Australia, including desert, grassland, mallee and mulga country. It is able to go without drinking as long as green grass is available, and it adapts well to drought. Despite its name, the Red Kangaroo is sometimes a blue - grey colour, particularly the female. Together with the Eastern and Western Grey Kangaroos these are the largest and best known of the kangaroos. |
| Treeless & barren it goes on and on and on! |
| | Australias arid regions The Nullabor Plain - stretching across South Australia and Western Australia is regarded as one of the flattest and most arid regions in Australia. From Ceduna to the Border Village the Eyre Highway follows the coastal cliffs of the Great Australian Bight. There are several lookouts providing wonderful ocean panoramas and between June and October the waters along the coast become a safe haven for Southern Right whales to breed. The word 'Nullabor', while sounding aboriginal, actually comes from the Latin for 'No Trees'. and is dramatically correct in its description of the vast Nullabor Plain. Treeless and barren it goes on seemingly indefinitely, here and there passing through a small roadside town or service station with the road mostly gun-barrell straight. This is an experience that I can recommend to all travellers in Australia. |
