I stayed here for a week at the invitation of my cousin who has a Time Share in the Manoir.
It is in Founcroup, near Ste. Mere Eglise in N. Normandy. The nearest small town is Picauville. We were in the middle of the West and East coasts of Normandy, about 1 hour's drive South of Cherbourg.
Looking towards the tennis courts at one end of the garden. In this area every morning, rabbits were hopping about. My cousin- in- law said there were more than last year! Funny that:-)
- Pros:Wonderful, peaceful week.Didn't hear a plane or traffic all week!
- Cons:Quite isolated. Nearest shps a drive away.
- In a nutshell:A great position for touring the rest of Normandy and for getting to the World War 11 beaches- Omaha, Utah, Arromanches, etc.

That Italian restuarant was not a "you get what you pay for" menu. Bread is a staple of Italians and should always be with a meal. Photos are lovely. I felt your pain of the coffee burn as it happened to me as well on my arm. Very traumatic. :-((
That was a very good thing to achieive Marg
What a nice and quiet place! Too bad you burnt yourself on the ferry!
Looks like you had a fantastic time. Love the place you stayed at ;-)
I hope that your burns have healed by now, what a shame for that to happen when on holiday. Glad you put the tip on, will make other people aware, and you are probably not the 1st to have done that!
Good page here Diane - looks as though you had a good time living it up! You found one of my favourite old Towns Valognes and best Super-U shopping. P.S.So sorry about the burns -good for for reporting it!
I have two Super U bags they are brilliant, we found France very expesive this year.
Whoa, luxury living indeed!! Nice page and great travelogue, Diana. Did you meet any Lamarre's while you were touring around Normandy? :o)
what a beautiful place - rabbits and a canon (Canon Chasuble?) and all!
I have to go to France one day! Ciao!
