When in 2004 I read somewhere that the Muskauer Park was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, I was quite surprised because I had never heard about that place before, even though part of it lies in Poland. Since then I've wanted to see it and finally in August 2007 I was able to visit it. I wasn't disappointed - the huge park offers well-prepared paths and wonderful views. The Polish side is more 'natural and wild' - you can walk here for quite a long time not seeing any other visitors. The German one is more 'ordered' and neat, but you will not find here much solitude, especially in summer.
I think both parts are worth visiting, so if you happen to be near the German town of Bad Muskau (Land Sachsen) or Polish town of Zagan you should spend a couple of hours in the Muskauer Park. I know one thing - I must revisit it in autumn to see the place in its colourful attire.

Never heard of this place before, but it looks gorgeous!
Very interesting page about this little border town. Honestly speaking I have never heard about Bad Muskau, but it looks like it is well worth a visit. Have a lovely weekend.
an excellent page and great pics, one day I hope to return to Bad Muskau and see more of it !
Beautiful photos accompanying an excellent page on this amazing park and eccentric man! Bad Maskau looks like an idyllic place to enjoy a stroll in the sunshine. I loved your Fuchsia bridge view, its one of my favourite flowers!
Nice photos. Did you cross the border whilst walking in the Park?
