    • Restaurant Name: The Magpie

    The Magpie is something of a legend in the area. It has been around since the 1930s and is situated right opposite the fish market. Maybe their fish is fresh off the boat and that is why it tastes so good!

    We had to queue a while for a table, so it may be worth booking in advance, particularly in high season, and it is slightly more expensive than many similar restaurants. The fish and chips are worth the wait though. And let's be honest - you can't go to the seaside without having fish and chips, can you!

    Favorite Dish: Fish and chips, with baked beans or mushy peas, a side order of bread and butter and a pot of strong tea. Perfect!
