There are a lot of japanese restaurants in Sao Paulo, but this one is really good! I love the ambiance, with a little river in the middle of the place, with fishes and a lot of plants. The people who serve are very attentive.

U have to make a reservation or just have luck and sit on those tables where u have to take ur shoes off:-)

OBS: Nakombi in portuguese means: in the Combi, the car...no idea how it's called in english, but that's why they have this car dressed as a japanese on their logo. And in the restaurant they also do sushis and have a bar in this kind of car.

Favorite Dish: Tapamaki, Yakissoba, Shimeji and Shiitake

(hehe...I love japanese food, but don't like fish)

I just can't describe the place...they have very big room that is devided in two. the first one is where the barbecue and the bar is and the other has a lot of plants and tables for which u can make a reservation.

The decoration is so different and somehow weird, they explain what the Tantra is and on the walls they describe what f.e. pepper or a fruit simbolises or what they bring while having sex...and in the bathrooms u'll see Kama Sutra images (hehe..my little sister got a little..how could I say... "scared")

Oh..I almost forgot...they have great different shows (every wednesday) with very nice, but simple, music.

Favorite Dish: It is a Mongolian Grill...u can pay for the grill and eat as much as u want, or u can take something from the menu.

When I went there I took the grill...there are more or less 5 types of meat (shark is also included) and X sauces and spices...u can mix what u want and give to the grill man who makes it for u infront of u:-)

It's a wonderful place, with trees, plants, wood and it's really big. U can stay at the bar, dance at the disco or eat pizza or even, where I went with my sisters, eat special plates.

It's a great place to go with the family, with friends or even business people...'cause it's different, cozy and has all the ages.

Favorite Dish: I can't really remember what we ate...but the dessert was something with cupuacu : it's a fruit from the north of Brazil and we also had Tamarindo juice...hmmmm:-)

  • Restaurant Name: CAJU

The fruit has a lot o Vitamin C and is kind of sour...
it's tipical in the northeast of Brazil but u can find it almost everywhere.

The "thing" on top is the famous so called "brazilian nut"...as u see; it's not a nut :-)

normally u peel it off to eat...

Favorite Dish: u can do wonderful caipirinhas with caju too.

Nihongo o hanasemasu ka, Shibiru-chan? You might want to use the word "shiitake" so that your Japanese mushrooms don't get censored. I would love to visit Brazil and perform carioca karaoke at Nakombi. Mongolian Tantra sounds good to me too!
