Grand Palace Bangkok

Grand Palace
Grand Palace was great and is a must see. This is where the Emerald Buddah is. If is not much to see (very small) but was the thing to see. We took off our shoes and sat on the floor in front of the Emerald Buddah. There were others praying along side us.

Be prepared to do alot of walking in the hot sun. A hat will help you keep cool.

Since the Grand Palace is really hot, recommened going in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds.

This is what we did. We caught a taxi to Wat Po to see the reclyning buddah (opens at 8:30 am). We got there at 8 am and was able to walk around the grounds of Wat Po to take pictures. Then we went to see the reclyning buddah at 8:30 am. From there, we walked to the Grand Palace (10-15 minute walk).
Croc farm show at Samphran Zoo. Incredible show. Just seconds before this shot, the croc was snapping his powerful jaws shut. Then, the guy put his head inside the crocs mouth.

This was part of our all day tour to the coconut sugar making farm, floating market, cobra show with a mongoose and cobra fight(entrance fee not included in tour cost. Fee was 200 baht), wood carving factory, samphran zoo (buffet lunch, elephant show and croc show), Rose Garden (Thai cultural show). The tour was 1300 baht or $32.50 USD from 7 am to 6:30 pm.

As usual, tours end at a jewelry shop. Looks good but very expensive.
