GOZO

A Haven of Calm and Rural Tranquility

The rocky western coastline of Gozo
Only half an hour away from Malta by frequent ferry service and a quarter of the size of it's big sister, Gozo has 25,000 inhabitants.

Life here is more relaxed than on Malta, and the economy is based on the traditional fishing and farming industries. We discovered the island by car and after just 1 day we were left with many lasting memories. The market in the capital of Victoria (also known as Rabat), the Azure Window at Dwejra and the rugged coastline, lunch in the lovely fishing resort of Marsalforn and the enchanting beach town of Xlendi (pronounced Shlendi).

There was still much that we did not see - enough for another visit sometime in the future maybe…

Looks like a lovely place, just what we like. Did Anne take you there, or did you explore on your own? Martin
