Stroll through Cascais centre around lunchtime & you will no doubt be beckoned & enticed into nearly every restaurant there is by the very enthusiastic employees (possibly happens in the evenings too, we didn't stay long enough to see!)
Whether you care to listen or not, the menus will be eagerly recited to you from start to finish - by the time you have heard this about 3 times you have 'switched off' anyway because you have already decided what you fancy eating!!
We chose The Bar Iberico, more luck than judgement really, but we were very pleased we did! The whole experience was excellent. A friendly atmosphere with attentive staff.
Favorite Dish: 'Cover charge' goodies included mixed olives, fresh bread, soft cheese in individual pots & traditional sardine pate - all delicious! Nearly a meal in itself!
For our main courses we had the traditional salt cod & a seafood kebab. Served with lovely fresh veg, everything we ordered was faultless. Half a litre of house red, coffee, a fresh orange juice & bottled mineral water....all for under €34 - well worth it!

You get plenty of those "Wrong way round drain covers" in the UK. I've even seen the workmen laughing as they put them back... |
