"Fuerteventura For Just One Day!" Isla de Fuerteventura by mazzap
Isla de Fuerteventura Travel Guide: 253 reviews and 531 photos
We visited the Canary Island of Fuerteventura on a day trip from Lanzarote where we were staying for 2 weeks. It was definitely worth a visit if you haven't already been there.
We booked the trip at the reception of our accommodation. Although it was the same price as the leaflets you find all along the beach promenade, there was a money back guarantee in case of cancellation for any reason. The cost was about 42 Euros per adult (half for under 11's). This included all the transport from our resort and return. The ferry was very new looking and had ample plush seating throughout. We had a very good guided tour all the way, with the excellent services of Connie our German guide who spoke English (amongst other languages) very well!
We were taken by coach around a fair chunk of the island and in one day we were able to get a good idea of the scenery, people and cultures that this island has to offer. A very filling lunch was included in the price, at a pleasant restaurant in one of the inland villages. Wine or soft drinks were also included and both choices of meal offered were rated highly by all we spoke to.
- Pros:Beautiful and vast sand dunes at Corralecco
- Cons:It just doesn't have the same appeal as other Canary Islands
- In a nutshell:I would not voluntarily return

What a lovely page!! I loved Fuerteventura and would never have considered it as a day trip! I'm thinking of Lanzarote around Christmas time so maybe now I'll pop back to relive some happy memories :-)
nice little page to show us a nice little day trip.
I've never seen chipmunks in Spain before. Did you give them a nibble?
I've heard the beaches here are the best in all of the Canary Islands! How did you find the public transport , I've heard it doesn't cover much of the island.
I love day trips like this!
Three tips....but ever so lovely. Anne :-)
Another good page! Greetings from Maria :)

I too have a picture on my Fuerteventura page of the little chip monks, cute arn't thay?
This chipmunk reminds me of a brother in law I have.
