Barcelona: It's like Rio de Janeiro in Europe

by danielcv - last update: May 22, 2004

You can reach Plaza Reial thru Las Ramblas.
Barcelona is the place where culture and arts meet beach and outdoor life. The city's atmosphere really ressembles Rio de Janeiro, my home town.

Natural beauty, parks, gardens, mountains, vibrant colors and friendly people - it's like a cultural enhanced Rio de Janeiro.

Busy Nightlife

If you're around 25 years old you need to go to Barcelona in the summer. The city becomes the capital of european youth during these months. You will find very busy nighlife with bars, cafés, and clubs open 'till late. Be careful and dont get wasted! :-)
Sculpture at the Fundacion Miro

Miro and Gaudi: this is the place to be

If you are more up to arts, you will find out Barcelona has much to offer.

It is the home town of Gaudi, the Catalan architect that changed the way we see buildings. Gaudi is the responsible for beauties such as the Sagrada Familia (still incomplete) and La Casa Mila, a mansion in Passeig de Garcia (is this the way to write this?).

Miro is the artist responsible for colorful paintings and sculptures that branded spain as a hot and vibrant country. You will find the Fundacion Miro museum at the Montjuic park.
