For students and town folk alike the punting on the river is way of life. Also great turist atraction. Spending an hour on the river with views of the Backs of the Coledges is great way of relaxing.
Punting on the river Cam, or a pint by the river in the picturesque vilage of Granchester the choice is yours.
I have lived in Cambridge since february '95 and is my second home after my birthplace Bitola in Macedonia.
If I have to choose again , for a place to put roots , I will chosse Cambridge.
Lots od parks, quiant little side streets, sence of history and tradition.
Full of life and young people, lots of things to do and see.
Cambridge is never boring, but full of wonder and hidden tresures.
So if you visit England, Cambridge is MUST on your travel Internary.

Just standing on one of the bridges over Cam river with your easel and watercolours, or meaby taking a quck photo. The choice is yours, but garantee to take your breath away regardles wich time of the year it is.
On every turn there is peace of history in Cambridge . The town is 1200yrs old and many of the buildings have their litlle hiden quirks and hidden history.
This year ( 2009) Cambridge University is marking 800yrs of its existance.
- Pros:Great atmosphere full of history ,pomp and circumstance.
- Cons:Not much. Narow streets and not enough parking spaces.
- In a nutshell:Comming to UK and not visiting Cambridge is like going to NY and not visiting the Empire State Building
