Well what to tell you about Wadi Rum.....There is lots to say & see and be flabergasted by its beauty. Wadi in Arabic means dry riverbed and Rum is Arameic for Elevated or High . Wadi Rum is awesome rock formation, and has been home to many people trouht out the history. The prehistorice man left its mark in the caves in form of drawings,paintings,eaven grafiti. Nabateians inhabited it also,as the Beduins,wich since 2007 made Wadi Rum their home again,after have been alowed to come back to theit antient roaming space. Also Wadi Rum was a home to T.E. Lawrence or Lawrence of Arabia who made the Wadi center of his operation during the time of the Arab Revolt from 1916-1918. |
