Bitola, city of music, art ,bohemian life and one of the most sang Citys in Macedonia.
Bitola with its charm and mix of old Otoman Turkish, old Macedonian and French mediteranian arhitecture is probably attack for your sences, but onece in Bitola, you have no choice but to fall in love with the City.
Bitola's roots are very old, from the time of the Philip of Macedon and the Romans, they build Heraklea Linkestis on the very important Via Ignatia road, linking Rome with Constantinopoly (todays Istanbul) and with that making Heraklea important strategic, cultural and economic center on the Balkans.
From there Bitola grow and developed to be one of the most important Cities for the Otomans on the Balkans, hence "City of Consuls" as about 15 different consulates were opened in the City.
Bitola is also City wich has lots of his inhabitans living abroad, but none of them forgot the City of their birth.
