hike up to the abandoned restaurant

if you go to the main beach, and look north, you will see an abandoned restaurant up on a hill that juts into the ocean. the walk is only about 15 minutes. you just have to climb some stairs and once at the top, you have unobstructed views of all of melaque´s coastline. it´s breathtaking (not to mention the climb).

fresh oysters

you can go to one of the beach restaurants and ask if there are any fresh oysters. we were approached by someone with a morning catch! it only cost about 50 cents per oyster...they were the hugest and freshest i have ever tasted.
