Stockholm, the swedish capital, is as beautiful as you have heard. Specially during the summer it's fantastic city, although that is not what I'm gonna write about here.
Stockholm have three big footballs clubs. Although just two of them will play in Allsvenskan next season. Djurgården and Hammarby..
Because, to the joy of 67 percent of Stockholm, and 95 percent of the rest of Sweden's joy, AIK was relegated to the second division this season.
During the 1990-ties it was always Hammarby and Djurgården that went up and down between the first and second division and struggled with the economy, while AIK won the swedish league twice, and played in both the Champions League and the Cupwinners cup in Europe.
The economy we shouldn't even speak about. Playing in the Champions League gives a lot of money.
Problem for AIK is that that money now is gone, and so are they starplayers. And they play in the second division.
At the same time Hammarby has won the league once, and Djurgården twice!
Stockholm has really changed... |

BeatChick Sun Dec 19, 2004 02:09 UTC Wow ~ beating up referees & Samba dance teams - awesome!! Must make for quite spirited games! Those souvenirs ARE expensive - I think I'll stick w/a scarf. :) | CALSF Thu Dec 16, 2004 00:39 UTC Ciao Henrik! Certainly this is another one of your famous calcio pages! I love your resto. tips especially. My fave dishes at Caffreys would be not either a Carlsberg or a Heineken but both! :) Keep up the great momentum with your pages! Ciao ciao, Cheryl |
