Bergamo is a very nice town in the north of Italy, a bit east of Milano. Things to see, except for the football-games are specially the old parts of the town “Cittá Alta”, which is situated on the top of a “mountain, above the new parts of the city. Busses takes you there from the center of Bergamo.
Bergamo has two football teams; Atalanta in Serie A, and Albinoleffe in the Serie B. Although the later is actually two older mixed teams, from the two small villages Albinese and Leffe, outside Bergamo.
The clubs are very different from eachother. Atalanta is an old, classic club, with a good public. Albinoleffe, on the other side, is the club who had always been playing in the lower divisions. And then 2002/03, from nowhere, came up from the third division, and has actually been doing quite fine in Serie B the last two season. |
