Favorite thing: When I for once decided to not make the 10 kilometers walk back to the station, but instead take the bus it all went wrong… I got on the bus as one of the first, and actually did find a seat to sit on too, but then got in the middle of a gang of young guys who thought they were the hardest hooligans ever… They were standing all over the place, not thinking if it was on my knee or not… On of the guys promptly should have his Brescia-flag outside the window during the whole trip, waving it at everyone who came to close…
Finally he waved it too much, and dropped it on the outside of the street…
Oh… how much I laughed… Silently, of course… I’m not that stupid… ;)
Baggio leaves the stadiums for good...
Favorite thing: Since I’m almost obsessed with well done choreographies in the stands and curves it’s almost a great moment for me everytime I come to Brescia. The best I’ve have seen is probably the one against Chievo last season. Thousands of flags in the curva, and then another fantastic choreograph in the longside-tribune, made by balloons in white and blue.
A maybe even bigger moment for me is from the last home-game for last season, also Roberto Baggio’s last game at the Stadio Rigamonti. I had a photograph-accreditation for that game, and was allowed onto the pitch after the game. There I stood, less than a meter from one of the biggest football stars ever, and took his photo. He finished his career with a fantastic game, and I’m proud to have seen it live.
Only problem now is that I can’t find the photo…
Hups... there, I found it! :)
Favorite thing: Outside the stadium there are som ticket-offices. The biggest one is at the headtribune. Ticketprices range from 10/12 euro up to 70-100 for the best seats.
In Brescia, as in Bergamo, the black market-salesmen are very impopular, which means that the only way you could find a ticket is by buying it in the official ticket-office. If they are finished there – bad luck, you won’t see the game.
Normally the stadium isn’t sold out though, so you’ll almost always be able to find a ticket.
