Parma - small clubs can still win big titles

by Calcio - last update: Dec 2, 2004

PARMA-Milan 03/04
Parma is both a beautiful city in the north of Italy and a club that shows that also teams from smaller towns can win big titles.

Althought I wasn't too impressed by the team, atmosphere or the weather when I was there, Parma has won two Uefacup and one Cupwinners Cup the last 14 years!

The last seasons they have had big economical problems, after their big sponsor Parmalat went bancrupt. But still he club is in Serie A, and challenge the biggest clubs in the country.

For that 71 euro entrance fee, you could've enjoyed a fine meal or two, eh? Arrgh!! :(

Sorry for the problem with the bus. If you come to Parma again for a football match, you can use one of the city buses to get back to the station. It's the line nr 9. A ticket costs 90 cents and you can buy it at any newspapers kiosk or at tobacconists.
