"Nice;.......actually...Great" a Nice Travel Page by AuTourDuMonde32

Nice is one of my favourite places in the world.
The entire region is amazing,but me being a real city type of person this place is "it".
Nice is a major city, with many of the common functions of any other.
What separates it from other cities, even it's beachside counterparts such as Miami and Barcelona , is it's atmosphere.
I don't know how to describe it,
but let me say that Nice is a place where I can enjoy myself without doing a thing.
It's laid back, chill atmosphere makes you feel like you're doing the right thing with your day no matter what you're up to.

The surrounding towns in the Cote d'Azur region are BEAUTIFUL...and a trip to Nice is'nt complete without getting atleast a bit of the feel of the area around it.
I'd suggest the town of
Juan-Les-Pins,especially for the beach and younger crowd.
Also Antibes, a luxurious and beautiful port town, with great food and a *sand beach.
and Villefranche-sur-Mer as well as Eze for a step back in time.
Frejus hosts a Roman amphiteatre
and Monaco,about 20 minutes away, is the uber luxurious casino town and busy port.

In the summer months,
this city is choice...
but be warned,it does become very cold here in the winter , actually today (Feb.27,2005) there's snow on the ground in Nice,very rare....but it can be even that cold.

My advice about Nice when asked is simply,
GO!
