Riga, old town: little wonderful streets, wide bridges on the Daugava river, amazing beautitiful parks.
Bars, little restaurants , kind and lovely people.
Who says Paris is the most romantic city in the world?
I suggest him/her to go to Riga to have an idea of what a romantic city is.
The most beautiful thing to do is simply walking around the old town and get lost in that labiryint of little malls and streets, have a break in one of the thousands of bars and make a visit to the St Peter's Church (don't miss the climb of its tower...great views!) and to the orthodox church.
At night time you can start with the bar on the 27th floor of the "Reval Hotel Latvija" (great view over Riga), have dinner in one of the restaurants in the old town and spend the night in one of the clubs (there are for all tastes).
I've been in Riga both in summer time and in winter: i can't say wich is the best season to go there.
In summer of course the weather is warmer and the bars in the old town fill the squares and the streets with little tables and the atmosphere is lovely...there are many more people walking around but there are also many tourists.
On the other hand, in winter time the weather is usually bad but the white (because of the snow) parks are wonderful.
After having seen all this i can say that Riga is the most romantic city in the world.
Go there and tell me if i'm wrong.

Riga è una delle mie tante mete future. Belle le foto del meeting (anche se Elena ha gli occhi rossi, dovresti toglierglieli con un programma). Purtroppo il mio di Trieste ho dovuto annullarlo perché non si è iscritto quasi nessuno!
