Spent 3 months in the paradise of Goa, it is more than just beaches and needs to be explored to fully appreciate its beauty. Poverty is one thing you may not be ready for if coming on a package holiday direct from the UK, but travelling around India then to Goa, i can tell you that Goa is very different than the slums of Bombay and is probably no different than some parts of Europe say 10 years ago. |
| | Enjoy It !!!! Once you are over the heat and the flight get out of the tourist places and meet the Goans. They are among the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Take a walk round Panjim, eat with the locals and do some shopping (designer shops), do this by taxi or if your really up for an experience catch the local bus. Worth a visit is the market (Fridays I think ) in Mapsa , the smells, the noise, the people will really get your senses going. |
