Dar Halabia is the only hotel located in the old city, established in 2001. The very friendly owner has done a good job; the place is nice, clean and quiet, the courtyard lovely, there is delicious free tea with cinnamon and even though the rooms are small and a little impersonal, I really enjoyed staying there. The disadvantages came when I decided to use the other services of Halabia Travel and Tourism. For example, when I booked the hotel room I asked the owner to book me also a car with a driver for a trip around Aleppo. The car ended up to be a taxi with its driver and even though a friend of mine decided to join me the last minute, we didn’t share the cost; the (expensive) charge was per person and not per car... • Mandaloun is a nice boutique hotel located close to Al-Jdeida. The beautifully decorated rooms are clean and spacious with satellite TV, a/c and mini bar. There is also a beautiful courtyard with a fountain where someone can relaxes having a flowers tea after a day sightseeing. Service is excellent and the food very satisfying.
