One of the Benefits of Travelling...Making Friends

by ClassyGirl - last update: Jul 6, 2004

I'm going to devote this page to some great freinds that I have made on my travels!!!
I will have to separate these pictures into different albums someday soon, so they are easier to look at! Sorry, for now!
Steffi's on the right...

Steffi!

Her and I got quite close during my stay in Kaarz, Germany. We went out a lot, played games, had sleepovers, etc. She made my stay much more fun, and helped me with my homesickness!
The Sternbergs

My Second Family in Germany

While I was nannying in Germany, these were my neighbours. They took me on a few journeys and were very supportive and caring during my stay. Love them.
Mauricio

A Mexican in Germany...

While I was nannying in Germany I took a German course. That's where I met Maurico, who was an exchange student from Mexico. We had a lot of fun touring the city of Schwerin, going shopping, and just hanging out! I miss him! It's really sad when you meet too many people in your life to keep in touch with them all regularly.
Doerte from Bremen

Fellow Nanny Friend

I met Doerte on my plane ride from Amsterdam to Hamburg. She made me feel more comfortable about this very new experience, and I ended up visiting her in Bremen during my stay in Germany! She was a nanny in New York, coming home, when I was just beginning my journey. Perfect timing!
So much fun!

Paris is the place to be for meeting people!

On my tour around Europe after I finished nannying, I stayed in Paris for 4 days....these are some of the friends I made while at the hostel. They come from as far away as Japan and South Africa and as close as a few hours away. We didn't keep in touch, but I will forever remember them as they filled my travels with conversation and laughter.
My fun classmates! (and teacher in the middle)

German Class

As I mentioned above, I took a German course in Schwerin, during my stay in Germany. Here is my class! There were people from the Ukraine, Russia, China, Peru, USA, Mexico, Ethiopia, etc...
Will and I

Long-time Internet Friend

While I was in Amsterdam, someone I had been chatting with for 4 years or more (from Holland) came to meet me and tour around with me for the day! It was lots of fun! Willem and I shared great omlettes, conversation, and siteseeing! Great to put a face to a name after all of those years!
