Los Angeles - awfully spread out city and impossible to see this place without hiring a car. Even then you need such a lot courage to drive those highways & most of all you get lost all the time. Even natives cannot survive without a GPS or a map printed out of the net. Major attractions are not located together in one area - so car is a must. You cannot rely on public transport - and the subway covers only a part of downtown area. People have no habit of taking cabs unlike in New York city - they just drive and drive those never ending free ways. I understood that it is normal for them to drive 30 minutes just get to a supermarket. Their lifestyles are so sophisticated. Every American has some connection to another part of the world. Even if they were born and raised in this huge country. Thanks to our friends Udeni + Jeremy and Varuni + Sam who took time to drive us around and to accompany us. They certainly showed us those hidden secrets of Los Angeles.
Food was nothing special compared to what you experience in Europe. Except I learned that people do eat a whole load and portions are huge.
Its a great city - totally different from New York (again) !! It is so diverse and offers something for everyone. You can spend hours just watching those beautiful people go by - all day long. Do you ever wonder where all the good lookers are gone – it has to be Los Angeles because everyone is so perfect...... Endless shopping streets, Hollywood , flashy cars such trendy people - you have to see this Lala land at least once. Venice beach was sooo cool and so were those girls nights I had with my friend when guys were away......
What I enjoyed most * Venice Beach * Santa Monica - 3rd Street Promenade * A night out at a blues bar called "The Baked Potato" * Having breakfast at the Original Pantry * Universal Studio city walk in the night. * Hanging out with friends...... |

| | Youthful & funky Venice Beach -coolest place in LA Don't miss Venice beach !!!!! Unlike any other tourist attraction I have seen in LA or any other beach that you have seen anywhere else in the world. Very funky, freaky and a carnival with free entrance. Fridays and weekends are recommended. |
