I went to Glasgow on the 30th of July this year and stayed for three nights. We (my friend from work and I) stayed at McLays Guest House on Renfrew Street (There's a travel tip on that).
From what I had heard before going to Glasgow I was to expect an ugly city almost entirely built in the 19th and 20th centuries, but nothing could be more wrong. I saw many old beautiful buildings, like the Cathedral, Glasgow University and the Provan's Lordship.
During my stay in Glasgow I met with a friend from the internet, James, who took us around both to pubs and a club and on a short (too short but still worthwhile) trip in the southern highlands. We went to see Loch Lomond with Ben Lomond and Inveraray.
- Pros:A beautiful city full of PARTY!!!!

I was also positively surprised with Glasgow.
Henrik was indeed King of Glasgow - very fond memories of this great footballer Nixe page
Fabulous little page about this Scottish gem. Keep up the good work. :o)
Wow, everywhere you visit and at home, you know all the greatest places from sights to restaurants and hotels. Glasgow is no exception of course. And I, too, am surprised by how beautiful this city is.
Interesting Guest house. Thanks for the info. We are lucky, living only one hour out of the city but it is very helpful for visitors and after shows etc. Best wishes - Malcolm
