I've never actually been in the town of Älvsbyn, but we passed by just outside on our way to Storforsen, "the great rapid" in Pite river.
Älvsbyn is a municipality in the inland of Norrbottens län, far up north in Sweden. I suggest you pay Storforsen a visit when you're in Piteå or Luleå (or somewhere inland), it's really worth seeing!
