The lines above comes from a song by the swedish artist Pugh Rogefeldt and in english the lyrics go "Stockholm, Stockholm city in the world, Stockholm, Stockholm the city of the world!". I couldn't agree more. I SO love our capital. Being so close to the water, clean, having a huge history...shall I go on? OK: all the interesting museums, having an icecream in Kungsträdgården, strolling by the water looking at people...
The picture on this front page was taken from the tower of the city hall in July 2005. It shows the view over Riddarholmen and Gamla stan in the rear. To the right is a piece of the pittoresque island of "Söder", Södermalm with many nice pubs for example. To the far left of the picture is a part of the castle |
