I've been to Tallinn on three different occasions, a day-cruise in 2001, a one-night in Tallinn cruise in April 2004 and just now I've come home from my third visit to the beautiful city. This time (Feb 2005) we stayed 2 nights in Tallinn, which makes atotal trip of 5 days, since we went by bus from Karlstad and then on the Tallink ferry MS Victoria from Stockholm to Tallinn.

Tallinn is as you all probably know the capital of Estonia, the northernmost placed country of the three baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia). It's a fairly small country, about 250 km east-west and around 200 north-south. Tallinn is situated like a pretty gem on the south coast of the Gulf of Finland and has around 450.000 inhabitants.

The most distinguishing part of the city is its Old Town, in which you'll find sights like the russian Cathedral Alexander Nievsky, the gothic town Hall built in 1404, the estonian parliament and several churches. Of course the old town is where you'll fins its mideaval wall too.
