Getting TO/AROUND: If you fly with Ryanair to Paris you will land at Beauvais, a city a little more than an hour's drive away. The easiest way to get to and from the Airport is to use the shuttlebus service, which leaves the airport 20 minutes after landing (They say, but there were plenty of buses there) and goes to Porte Maillot in Paris, where there's a Metrostation to take you to wherever you're going. The bus leaves Porte Maillot 3 hours prior to departure when you leave Paris, but you should be at Porte Maillot at least 3 hours and 15 minutes prior to your flight's departure time. The tickets for the bus are 10 Euros single way, but you can buy a return ticket at the box office just to the right of the exit of the airport terminal when you arrive at Beauvais. That way you don't have to hassle with money in the morning when you're going back. (I for instance, had to be at Porte Maillot at 6.40 AM...) On the ticket you also get a discount at Corcoran's Irish pub if you show them your ticket. Corocoran's is near Moulin Rouge, metro Pigalle.

Category: Subway/Metro
Getting TO/AROUND: When you get to paris you should definately buy a Paris Visite pass for the metro RER and buses. I bought a 3day pass for zones 1-3 for just over 18 Euros. Zones 1-3 covers all of central Paris (I think ALL of the metro really, but not all RER of course). Disneyland and Versailles are far out of zones 1-3. What you SHOULDN'T do however is lose your card and ticket on the third day! I lost mine in the mettro when I bought a bottle of water for 1,5 E and ended up buying a 1 day card to cover the last day for somewhat over 8 euros. I found out when I was at the Père Lachaise cemetary just after having seen Edith Piaf's tombstone and it ruined that experience :p. So in the end that bottle of water cost me almost 10 Euros :))
