Koh Samet is a small island off the thai mainland in the north-east Thai Sea. The easiest way to get here is by bus to Ban Phe and then by boat from there to Koh Samet.
Kos Samet is also a natural Park and you have to pay a small fee to enter the Park, I believe it was 200 Baht
The sand on the beaches in incredibly fine and white. The whitest I've ever seen. I sure hope to come back some day!
The Island is also rabies free and you have to bring a certificate that your dog is healthy to bring it along with you. My friend who went there just a few weeks ago told me that most of the dogs that were there in numbers in 2002 now are gone, so that's good too! |
