French fries (chips) are Fritters in Holland and Fritter sauce is not ketchup. No, it's this yummy mixture of mayonnaise and maybe relish and mustard? Have you seen Pulp Fiction? John Travolta monologues this nicely : ) Anyhow, try it! It is very very tasty -- although quite unhealthy I can imagine, but what the heck you're on vacation/holiday!

Nice page!! But wooden shoes are actually worn in Holland! Last year my hubby wore his Egyptian gallebeya and needed to get out to close the car. He slipped into his wooden shoes. I was in a fit!! Such a shame I had no camera at hand. | pieter_jan_v Sat Feb 5, 2005 15:54 UTC
