Having read about peoples dreadful check in nightmares, I was concerned. Everything was fine, the reception is spacious, although a little dark, as is the whole of the pyramid. We were given the opportunity of a discounted upgrade to a suite. There were 3 of us, and it was lovely. Nice living room, and 2 seperate bedrooms either side, in East Tower. Quietest rooms I've ever stayed in, and immaculately clean. Shower was the most powerful I've ever used. I'd recommend it for the facilities, but it is right at one end of the strip and in high summer that can be a problem as it is too blooming hot to walk about.
Unique Qualities: Really good breakfast choices in food court upstairs in pyramid. Luxor Coffee Company do very nice pastries and good tea and coffee. View from our windows was of Excalibur, but could see mountains in the distance.

Although I didn't stay in this hotel, it was one of the many we ducked into to escape the heat. As you enter, there is an old fashioned funfair style area. There were a couple of big top shows while we were in, one of which was a trapeze show. Very good fun. Around this area are lots of sideshows thst used to be in funfairs. A lot of children were playing on them ,and they are inexpensive. If you are travelling with children, this is definitely a place to pop in to.
Unique Qualities: Brilliant fairground style fun.

Almost everyone I know who's been to Vegas tells you to go to see the outdoor fountains, and it's true, they are fantastic. look indoors , and you'll see some amazing indoor waterworks which seem to defy gravity. As you are in the air conditioned comfort, it's a pleasant way to spend a few minutes in very nice surroundings. When we visited, there was an exhibition of Monet's in the Art Gallery , on loan from a collection in Boston. They were stunning.
Unique Qualities: Water features absolutely incredible.

Hubby wanted to go to the top of the Tower...I decided to stay on the ground floor. Very smart , and I have to say, very French! The ladies loos are so Parisian, it made me chuckle. If the pictures he took are anything to go by, the trip up the tower is worth it.
