Unfortuately it was raining that day so we did not visit the outdoor exhebition, but still worth going there. Very well done, even for non-ethnology-enthusiasts! ca. 70.000 Dong from city centre by cab each way.

Nice setting surrounded by limestone mountains. Two temples, really peaceful and interesting. But maybe not worth the trip if you manage to see nice temples elsewhere.

There are several different locations outside Hanoi called "Earthern Halong Bay", where lime stone mountains are an impresive scenery. One is Tam Coc, but there are also others with less tourists.

At least one day will be taken by a trip to the magnificent Halong Bay. But it is still worth it. But better pay a bit more and travel in a small group than in a crowd of 20 to save a few dollars. We spend the night on Cat Ba Island which is not recomendable, a mere tourist trap.
