The motto of TTB appears to be "Taipei, touch your heart.' But really our hearts were out when the plane landed at CKS Airport in the midst of the recent Typhoon. The pilots doing the job were professional and brave. Our hearts nearly dropped and our minds were blank, not forgetting our shaking hands. But once out of the airport and travelling on the tour-bus, we felt hungry. Too soon, we arrived at Shihlin Night Market, the mother of all the night markets. Here, we found the love of our lives - oyster omellette, deep chicken chop, ice-kachang, steaks - beef and pork, herbal soup of duck, pig's trotter, pig's ribs, etc. We know we have come to the right place for a short break!
But this is summer time and temperature can soar up to 37 degrees. It's hot, very hot unless the rain comes to cool us down. |
