Wait, a hockey game is about to break out!
There is nothing like an ECHL hockey game. Especially when your local hometown team is playing one called the "Grrowwlll", or the "Cottonmouths", or the scary "Salmon Kings." What were they thinking! Cottonmouths? I want to name my team for that dry feeling in my mouth after too much alcohol which I notice before I discover my zacly breath! ECHL Hockey is a step or two below the NHL, but is a lot more fun to watch. Fights break out, scoring is high, canadian names aplenty! Plus, for fans of the movie Slap Shot, we play the Cheifs! In fact, I think someone is beating up Paul Newman in the picture.
The Nut House, as we like to call the Ervin J. Nutter Center, is a mid-size arena and there really isn't a bad seat there. Unlike the Dragon's games, these rarely sell out though. It is a shame, it is the more fun of the two, as far as putting on a show for the fans goes. Well worth the time to see a game, and not really all that expensive either.
Equipment: Just you, and your beer hand baby!
Address: Wright State Univ.'s Nutter Center. Col. Glenn Hwy
Directions: I-675 North to N. Fairfied Rd. Stay in the right lane at the 444 split, but get left as you will go over the bridge. The Ervin J. Nutter Center is Directly ahead of you.

Fifth Third Field at twighlight.
The Dayton Dragons are a Cincinnati Reds Class A minor league team. we have had a lot of Reds talent come through town, including current playes Adam Dunn and Austin Kearns. Being a Padres fan, I tend not to care about the Reds, but the Dragons are awesome!
Fifth Third Field (wait, isn't that 1 and 2/3?) is located on East First street just east of downtown. It is a great stadium for a minor league team, with no bad seats, a grassy knoll for picking off a foul tip, and for the cheap folks like me, you can even watch for free from the streets! Although, most of the time the games sell out before I have a chance to buy tickets. So buy early if you know when you are coming to town.
Equipment: Some of the seats are hard. So if you are like me and have a lumpy butt and hate the feel of bleachers or hard seats, bring a cushion. Money is also good, because the stadium may be minor league, but the food has a major league price.
Address: 220 N. Patterson
Directions: Take Second Street East, to N. Patterson and you are there baby!
