The VG museum is a must for art lovers. I've been too many times now to remember, and I've never been diappointed. The best was when the Van Gogh-Gauguin exhibition was on in Spring 2002. I had to wait nearly an hour to get in and it was busy, but it was worth it. A close second was the recent (2006) Rembrandt-Caravaggio exhibition. Of course, I should have probably disclosed my bias that I am a BIG Van Gogh fan. But even if you're not, I still urge you to go as the art on display is worth seeing for its historical value.

Okay so its a train station, and a particularly busy one with pick-pockets a plenty; but its a beautiful building in its own right. I recommend anyone to take time to admire its architectural beauty (in amongst the rubble of the building site!)

The Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge) is probably the most famous bridge in Amsterdam and one I recommend all VT's see. Its got a concrete 'ramp' on either side and the bridge itself is made from the most beautiful white wood. At night its lit up.

Sex and religion can't be seperated - can they? Amsterdam is no exception with the old church slap bang in the middle of De Wallen. But its still a beautiful building in its own right.

For me, seeing Sint Nikolaaskerk screams out 'your in Amsterdam now'! Its literally the first thing you see when you come out of Centraal Station. Its a nice building in its own right as well.
