This small Greek Island has a long history of Volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
It has the most amazing sunsets.
It is very photogenic and attracts visitors from all over the globe.
This is a place to chill, as there is very little going on here, most of the churches are closed. The beaches are not sandy and chips are served with everything.
- Pros:Beautiful, friendly and easy to get round
- Cons:Not Disabled Friendly, Crowded and Expensive.
- In a nutshell:Quiet, Busy little Island Full of Charm.

Thanks for sharing your photos and tips! Although the scenery is beautiful, I really have mixed feelings about whether I'd ever want to go back.

What awesome scenery!!! Your tips were useful. Did you get to see any of the archeological sites they have been working on at Santorini? This looks like an amazing place. How long to stay?
Thank you for your visit. The archaeological site was closed due to a minor earthquake.I reckon a week is long enough for a stay,but many go Island hopping.
Came back for another visit to this excellent page! Will be in Santorini in the next couple weeks but for a day only. Where exactly do you go to catch a bus to Oia??
A guy overtook me on a souped up moped going into Thera wearing nothing but a pair of Speedos and flip flops. Bike safety is a joke here. Helmets? Most of the guys don't even wear shirts far less helmets.
