Schlossberger wine bar is open every afternoon, people seem to gather and sit and sip this lovely wine. The week-ends are always busy and there is a nice buzz about the place. You can buy the wine from the nearby shop or even have it shipped back home.

Every year at the end of September, Staufen holds a couple of big festivals, this year (05)Stages was all about the storming of Staufen, and a reenactment was performed at the gates to the town. People were in costume and the atmosphere is always good.
They had stalls selling, crafts, food and wine, and there are many kinds of street entertainment going on throughout the whole day. This is a wonderful day for the whole family, and it is very well organised. Try the meat cooked on a large swinging griddle and sample the wine, it's so easy to go from wine bar to wine bar, by the way they also sell beer, usually the local brew.
