Maldives flag - Maldives

Went to Maldives for the first time in February and it definitely lived up to all the billing. It is quite a ways from here, so took awhile to get there; but well worth the wait. It is a very unspoiled part of the world that has a lot to offer any traveller interested in nature or relaxation. I would really like to visit this country again.

Stayed at laguna beach resort. Very nice place, reasonably priced and only about 45 min speed boat ride from airport.

took a tour of the city, 70000 people and there is a lot of bikes. Saw the market, government buildings, mosque. There is a really nice water park at the end of the main street where the water taxis park.

Pros and Cons

Pros:exceeded expectations
Cons:long way from home
In a nutshell:a tropical paradise that works for me
