Floating Market Paradise | Damnoen Saduak, the famous floating market |
Samut Songkhram is located south west of Bangkok. We drove on Highway 35 from Bagnkok and we took about 60 minutes to get to Samut Songkhram. Well, most tourists have never heard of Samut Songkhram, but they might be more familiar with the famous floating market, Damnoen Saduak. Samut Songkhram is also famous for it's salt farm, and being a seafood paradise. |
| | Amphawa Amphawa is another district in Samut Songkhram. Personally, I think it has more characteristics than the more popular Damnoen Saduak. A visit to Amphawa will tranform you back to the time when life was simpler and more peaceful. It is also the birth place of King Rama II. Amphawa floating market is open from Friday to Sunday in late afternoon. |
