San Diego - The REAL jewel of California to me.
Everyone visits LA or San Francisco, & they love it.
San Diego is how everyone imaging Calif to be. Relaxed, polite, helpful, sunny, warm, nice, clean & kid friendly.
Having visited with my wife in 1995 we loved it & decided that when we had children we'd go back again. And when our son was 3 we did. He loved beaches, Seaworld, & we managed to find a lovely toy shop or 5!
I've included as much as I can about our trip in 2001 and there are some bits about our 1995 visit too (1995 at the begining).
2006 and all being well our son will be back, as well as our 3 year old daughter for her first visit. Roll on 2006 !

Back there again !

Wooohoooooo SD ROCKS.

My daughter 3 years old loved it, My lad 8 years old loved it. My Mum 71 years loved it. And so did the wife and I. It was lovely to get back to SD again. We travelled about staying at the Handlery Hotel again. (See the hotel section for my review).

This time with my new camera I was shooting photos every few minutes as was my son.

THe people of San Diego are so great, friendly and are some of the best Americans I have ever met.

Despite the heatwave we had a great time.

Thanks SD!

See you again :)

Great start on your SD page! Luckily, El Fandango isn't effected by the changes taking place in Old Town SD State Hisrtoric Park!
