Albuquerque... Can you spell it?

by MatthewMetcalfe - last update: Oct 10, 2005

This is what the crowds come to see!
We visited Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta and thoroughly enjoyed the city. There is so much to see and do and the food is out of this world! I was surprised at how easy it was to get around the city although the "Pan American" took a little getting used to.

Visit the Old Town shops and museums or tour the Biopark if you are "Ballooned-out". Better yet, head to the Top of Sandia Peak or out into the desert for a stroll...

I didn't learn to spell Albuquerque until I lived there in 1967-1968. Have only visited once very briefly since then. Would love to return and explore all the changes.

Albuquerque area is so neat. Rte. 66 Diner was a blast. Loved the drive into the mountains. Thanks for the memory.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to AIBF and ABQ! next time, wander up to the Jemez Mountains or Madrid for your balloon free days :)
