Asheville is nestled in the Mountains of western North Carolina. The town has a vibrant artist community who have helped revitalize the downtown area but it's most famous for being the location of the Biltmore Estate, the largest home in the United States.
Like many people I first visited Asheville to see Biltmore and returned to see Biltmore. It's close proximity to Atlanta makes it an ideal weekend place but limits your time to see other things. Only on my third trip did I finally start to explore the other areas Asheville had to offer. |
