Columbus is located in central Georgia right on the border with Alabama. In addition to being the Home of the Army's Ft. Benning, it's also a stopping place for people on their way from Atlanta to Florida.

Although most people just stop for a meal or gas, there are things to see and do in Columbus, you just have to make the time!

A new Infantry Museum was dedicated in the Spring of 09. The Museum is now right outside the Ft Benning gates, can't miss it- & it is so much more interesting now- It's still free, but you can get lunch upstairs or see a movie at the new Imax theater
