Atlanta - Southern Metropolis

Deep Fog over Hartsfield.
I've lived in Atlanta all my life and it's grown considerably. Like most big cities it offers about everything you need. It also has some of the worst traffic in the country.

It seems that anyone I talk with has been to Atlanta, the Airport that is. Hartsfield is the busiest airport in the world and it's rumored that you must pass through Hartsfield to get to heaven.

If you are spending a significant amount of time in Atlanta and want to make some road trips, check out my other Georgia Pages or email me for suggestions!
Shot and Shell at the History Center
During the Civil War Atlanta was an important Manfufacturing and Rail Center for the Confederacy. Shermans March to the Sea captured Atlanta for the Union and hastened the end of the war. The Atlanta History Center has a fantastic collection of Civil War Artifacts. Civil War sites surround Atlanta and should not be missed by any history buff.
Orchid at the Botanical Gardens
In addition to a rich historical past, Atlanta is home to a wealth of fine arts. Fernbank Museum of Natural History, the High Museum of Art, The Atlanta Zoo and the Atlanta Botanical gardens are just the beginning of what Atlanta has to offer. A world Class Symphony anchors the Arts Complex and the Fox theater hosts world class shows.

Happy Birthday, neighbor. If you like the Braves and the Varsity, you can't be all bad. Where do you stand on Krispy Kreme? :-) Hope your BD is a great one. Will check out your other pages later.

I once got the chance to see a Braves game at Turner Field. Fun! Atlanta is a great place. I love Buckhead.
