Georgia is my Home State and I've lived here all my life. I'll try and put up as much as I can so if you are coming to Georgia hopefully there'll be something here for you. If not, shoot me an email and I'll tell you what I know.
I am going to try and organize a lot of activites under cities within Georgia so check my Georgia Cities page as well. If it's not close to a good sized city though, I'll put it on the main Georgia page and give some directions.
This is one of my favorite signs located in the North Georgia mountains near the Amicalola River. I'm not sure why it's the four mile church or why it's only two miles away.
This is the old Train Station in Tate Georgia. Tate is located in the North Georgia Mountains not far from Jasper. Tate is known for producing Georgia Marble and their elementary school is actually made out of Marble instead of Red Brick like most in Georgia.
- Pros:A wide variety of things to do and see across the state.
- Cons:Atlanta Traffic....
- In a nutshell:It's a great place to visit and I live here!

Thanks for the stirring bit about Andersonville. I have read some about it but didn't know it was the NAtional POW museum site.
Excellent broad coverage of Georgia - my home for 15 years (Augusta and Albany). Also I have lots of family in Atlanta. I look forward to seeing more of your tips.
Great pages on Georgia--I can't believe I've never heard of Westville before. And I guess I'd forgotten that Andersonville was in Georgia. Not exactly something that is taught in Southern classrooms...
Pretty good for an ole Georgia boy, Matt. Just kidding - great page and some places I haven't seen. Did do the animal safari with our granddaughter and had a blast. Thanks.
