My main reason for visiting Agra was to see the Taj Mahal, so I was only in the city for two days. It was also quite a few years ago now, so I don't have that many tips to give, but I will do the best I can! The Taj Mahal is by far and away the most beautiful man made creation I have ever seen, and I highly recommend you try to see it in your lifetime. The craftsmanship put into the building of the palace is absolutely amazing, especially considering when it was built. The intricate detail put into the walls is also a beautiful thing, something to truly be admired. |
|  | MORE THAN JUST A PALACE Agra is however more than just a palace, it is an interesting city in its own right. Watching and trying to talk to the locals is a different experience.
There are a number of architectural sights to see, snake charmers and bear dancers (whatever your opinion on this) can be seen on the roads and you can shop for some one off presents to take home in the markets. |
