Piazza Garibaldi by night
I had just been once in Parma before my last visit. The first time was just for an afternoon, when I paid 75 euro to see Parma and Milan play a boring 0-0 game, where I was freezing my ass off and had to wait for the right bus for 1,5 hour after the game.

Then, the second time I got to see the real Parma, and I'm very glad I came back.
It's a quite small (100 000 people living here) and quite pitoresque town, which mostly is known for the Parmagiani (the cheese) and the Parma ham. But also for the Football Club Parma, where once the famous Swede Tomas Brolin played, and who actually won the Uefacup twice and the Cup winners cup once during the 1990-ties.

The city is very calm, even if it did help me and my travel companion got here on a Sunday afternoon when everything seemed to be more than calm, more like dead. :)

The city center is perfect for a walk, where you can decide yourself if you want to walk for or short. The streets are quite thin and in the center no cars are allowed.

The Parma area is one of the wealthiest in the whole Italy, and it's easy to see that people here have a good life. They dress very well, and the girls...

Oh, the girls... So beautiful!

I like your pages and pictures very much! You'll be glad to know that now, in December, the shops are open all Sundays. Much more lively than when you were here!

Parma looks beautiful. Emiglia-Romana is known for its food and how can you miss if you're anywhere in Italy? But too bad about the touristy place-I got the feeling it was still good anyway. Will check out that hotel tip you have!
