Henrik's Rome-page

Petrus church... and me.
Rome - the fantastic italian capital, with the Coliseum, the Vatican, Petrus church, Pantheon, Forum Romanum – and with a weather that always seems to welcome me back every time I get there.
An amazing city, without doubt.

Still there are things that I don’t like with the city, that sometimes even take out the positive sides of it. Way too many tourists, way to unfriendly and stressed Rome-inhabitants, always trying to rip an extra euro out of your pocket. It makes me stressed, and it makes me lose the feeling for Rome now and then.

Still I’m coming back as often as I can, so I guess it can’t be that bad after all…? Although I prefer Milano 8 days a week…

On this Rome-page you can find information about the most famous sights and my personal memories. I hope you will enjoy reading, and that it will make you go to Rome in the future! Because this city for sure needs some more friendly people…

And... about the intro-photo. I definately agree that it's quite much ego to put a photo of myself on my front-page of Rome... But you shouldn't look at me, look at the sunglasses instead!
It's one of the coolest pictures I've ever seen, and I hope you all will see what it is that I'm looking at!

The photo is taken by my dear german friend Kristina. Thanks!

I’m sorry that the quality of some of the photos are quite bad. It’s because the digital camera didn’t exist when I visited Rome the first times, which made that I only have those photos on paper.
So what to do, without a scanner? Well, I just took another photo with my now existing digital camera, on the already existing photos. Not the best quality, but at least photos.

UPDATE APRIL 2007: Have finally managed to get to Rome with a digital camera in my hand, so from now on more and more photos will be digitaly uploaded on the page!

Pros:"The fantastic historical places"
Cons:"All the stressed and unfriendly people, plus the traffic"
In A Nutshell:"It's Rome!"
